Help CEL CODES b16a
Ok B16a, gsr harness, P30 ecu, eg cx hatchback.
CEL CODES:
41 - Primary o2 sensor, not used so i dont car, but how can i get rid of the CEL from this?
22 - Barometric pressure sensor "map sensor", care started weird and idle bumped, replaced the sensor and cleared the ecu and i still get the code...
13 - Vtec oil pressure sensor, Grounded it out and is wired to the ecu, still get a code and no vtec...
I been trying to work out the bugs for about a month now after the swap, and it has the same issues the old engine had. "converted to obd1" I'm pretty stuck on the Map sensor because before the car had a bad idle bump and every now and then when i would try to start it, it would start and then die and the only way i could start it was wait for 30 minutes or pop the clutch. So i replaced the map sensor $80 later And The cel came up for it again, i dont really understand that one, because the map did fix the starting issue so i know its getting a good connection.
I'm not sure why im getting a cel for the vtec oil pressure sensor, i have vtec wired to the original cx harness because it should be pre wired to the connectors, unless the gsr harness has the wires in a different spot in the connector? idk...
Thats pretty much it, id really like to fix these problems before i go back to try passing emissions again, my tabs are due so this is kinda argent. I cant get my tabs until i get my title and i cant get my title tell i get it through emissions. So if anyone has and quick fixes or useful information that would just be fantastic.
My ecu is stock... Don't have the money to take it to a mechanic.

is this an obd2 b16a that was converted to OBD1 if so I don't believe the obd2 b16a has the sensor you can swap the vtec solenoid housing to so you can hook up a vtec oil pressure sensor , OBD1 jdm and usdm p30s will look for it , 13 not sure , I would think if the map was bad it would throw code 5, 41 O2 it is used and needed unless you chip the ecu not to look for it test it replace as needed

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
no its an obd0 that was converted to obd1. And the vtec solenoid has the pressure switch, Also im running the secondary o2 sensor that goes on the downpipe. I have a header so i cant run a primary... If this helps any, the p30 was chipped with hondata s100 and an sst chip, but i pulled the chips out and cut J1 to make it run the stock maps.

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
check the screen on the vtec pressure sensor and reroute/ extend the wires so that the primary is hooked up instead of the secondary, also check that its a obd1/2 4 wire O2 and not a obd0 sensor. I believe the obd0 O2s are 2wire and not the same as the obd1 4wire O2s

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
the barometric sensor is not the MAP sensor it's a sensor inside the ECU on OBD1/2 ECUs. You have to run a primary O2 sensor. OBD1 only uses a primary 02. The CX only had a one wire from the factory so you have to add the additional 3 wires to the ECU and use 4 wire O2. Have you reset the ECU (remove the neg battery terminal) to see if all 3 codes come back? If the barometric code comes back on you may have a bad ECU as that sensor is inside the ECU and can't be replaced. I would start there.

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
oh well crap in a hat. So if i wire up the o2 as primary and not secondary that code should go away? Along with the barometric pressure sensor code? is that there because of the o2 sensor? I Just bought this ecu... so if the baro is bad how can i solder a new one it? and can i use one out of a p28? And its practically a brand new vtec solenoid, the screens are clean. and i grounded it out to the sensor and it still doesnt work..

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
I just pulled the fuse for the ecu for 5 minutes and put it back in, it still starts up weird and has an idle bump... The car has the original cx harness, so i wired it up for a 4 wire. Im using the stock p30 ecu.. I wired everything up this way, im not sure if thats the correct way or not but thats how i did it.

Re: Help CEL CODES b16a
after i pulled the fuse yes they did. And i wired everything in that picture except the knock sensor and iab. The o2 sensor i just ran all 4 wires out from the ecu to the sensor. And vtec i just pinned it in the ecu, before it had added wires running from the vtec solenoid. But i have a gsr harness so i just put the stock vtec pins back in. Yes im positive everything is in the correct spot, atleast from that picture.
