Checklist for h22 swap into a 93 S...
Alright, mine is being shipped from hmotorsonline right now and I want to make sure I'm ready for it. I didn't buy the complete swap, just the motor, tranny and ECU. So I was going over what I need and I know that the dizzy will need to be modified, but I also wanted to know if I need a new header and new exhaust for it. I know to change the timing belt, water pump and rear main seal. I haven't heard about the clutch. I haven't gotten a definitive answer on whether or not the VTEC is pre-wired or not in the harness
So basically, what am I going to need to have ready once this big hunk of metal shows up at my doorstep?

A little more information is needed, like what year H22 you purchased, OBD I or OBD II. VTEC is prewired on 4th gens by the way. JDM motors usually come with around 30K-60K miles on them, so clutch is optional. If you are swapping from an "S" model prelude you will need to purchase a header since it is not included. Of course change the plugs and plug wires when it shows up along with a new distributer cap.
It's a 93 so it's OBD I. Any recommendations on what header and clutch to get? Should I put in a lightened flywheel as well? It also occurs to me that I will probably need a new intake. True?
As for your distributor i bought a brand new usdm h22 external coil off Distributor king on ebay for around $165. That way i didnt have to use the jdm internal coil or convert it. If you go with the usdm external coil dizzy you can use your f22a coil. I tested my f22a coil before installing and it failed so i bought an msd blaster ss coil. You can use your f22a engine harness but some of the connectors need to be make longer. I bought and used a used h23 engine harness, then wired the aib, knock sensor and vtec wires in a seperate harness to the ecu. Search and you'll find which connectors to extend if you use your f22 engine harness.

Ok, header-wise, where is a good place to buy an SMSP header? Also, what is a good exhaust that can handle some future horsepower? I was looking at Greddy but I want to throw the question out to the experts before I buy anything.
