well what would you reccommend because whats easier, taking the time pulling the motor to make it easier to install the rods and pistons. or having a hard time installing the rods with the motor in?

yes u can change your rods and pistons with the motor in the car all u have to do is remove the head and the oil pan, windage tray, oil pump pick up ,however u will need to send the pistons out to a machine shop cause the piston pins are a press fit unless u have a press u can do this ur self.

not a good idea because once you take out the pistons, you don't just wanna stick new pistons back in ur block. You wanna at least hone the cylinders or else your piston rings will not eal correctly. Since you're going to take out the oil pan and the head, and you'll obviously have to untolt it from the Tranny to take out the flywheel, all you have to do is unbolt like 3-4 more bolts and your engine will open. Trust me, if you're doing 90% of the work, might as well do the other 10% to do it right the first time. IMO it's much better to do that than to **** up your engine later and having to take it all out again....

absolutely, have you ever broken an arm and were in a cast? Things seem a lil different cause you only you have one hand now but you still get by. Th only difference in this case is you have limited space. you can still hone you can do all of it. No biggie. Good luck let us know how it goes.

like I said, if you wanna do it, do it right the first time....it's his engine, I guess he can do whatever way works for him. Good luck
