getting in the block (pistons, rods)
I plan on upgrading my pistons and rods for my boost. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but in order to get in my block do i need to pull the motor? Thanks

To pull the pistons and rods, you don't have to drop the motor and tranny.
However, we all know that's not the right way to do things. Especially if you're installing forged pistons.

Re: getting in the block (IN VTEC)
I should probably just pull it, because i'll be doing clutch, flywheel and complete rebuild, so it will be worth it.

Well, if the motor doesn't have that many miles, you can do it. However, if it has a lot of miles, i'd recommend that you pull the motor out and replace the thrust and main bearings.
I did that with my B20 motor which had around 30k miles. Popped the head and oil pan off and put in forged pistons/rods. Ran fine
