hey you guys i've just recently drop a b20vtec into my 96 hatch and everything runs fine except that when i go to step on the gas pedel, i get no throttle...i've tried adjust the throttle cable to see if that what the problem but nothing?!?!? the only kinda of rpm accellateration i can get is if i mess w/ the distributor to advance or retard the timing? oh and i also tried unpluging the map sensor n tps on the throttle body while the car runs...but nothin happens? could it be that i have a bad tps sensor or map sensor, because on the throttle body the tps sensor broke, so i just bought a new one off someone and installed it....would that have anything to do w/ it?

take off ur intake and see if when you pull your linkage does the throttle plate open. If it does then most likely you have a open tps sensor. it is not sending no signal to your computer.

 

so take off the intake n pull on the throttle cable is that what u mean?

yea check engine light is on...but iono how to check what code its throwing since its obd2?

 

map and tps plugs are the same, maybe you have them interchanged. try that too

 

did that already....im pretty sure its the tps sensor because i've just replaced it since the one on the throttle body was broken so i bought a new one n i heard u gotta set it so the throttle will respond....thats probably my problem...but i'll find out tomorrow i guess!
