alryte, before u bitch, i kno there has been a post about this, i searched, didnt help...is there a way to get the rotor and hub assembly off the knuckle without a press WITHOUT damaging anything? only solutions i've read were to bang da shyt out of ur rotors and then replace them...

 

On your 1987 accord you just need to remove 2 screws to take the rotor off

 

For a 1995 accord, you could rent a slide hammer puller to pull it out.

That's what 2 shops I went to used to try to take it off. But even with the slide hammer, it not always easy. (At one shop, one mechanics had a tough time taking it off with the slide hammer, until another mechanic came over, and put it between his legs and pull and got it off with one try. Mind you, the slide hammer was not touching his legs, he was using this method so the his full weight was on the ground and using his body motion (arms and hips) to pull it off instead of just his arm strength.)

Many times you might have rust or other corrosion which make its tougher, but spray some PB Blaster on the center of the hub to help.

Many others on this forum recommend to have a shop press it out.

 

how much wud a shop generally charge if i brought in my knuckle to have em pull off my hub n rotor?..and if it needs to be pressed bak on, how much wud it cost all together
