cooling fan not turning .please help!!!
92 civic hatch si cooling fan does work, when wired directly to the battery. but doesn not turn on at all. even when A/C is on. nothing. fuse not blown. but i dont know about the black relay in the underhood fuse box. could this be the problem? how would i test?
any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the car warming up enough to kick the cooling fan on? I have a slim-line fan in my H22 EG, and it rarely needs to be on, due to the fact that my radiator is so large. And, I may be wrong, but is there some kind of cooling fan switch on the Civic, or is it just some other Honda model I'm thinking of?
Most likely the thermoswitch. Its located on the thermostat housing. It has a 2 pin connector, and is basically a switch to ground.
Easy test: unplug the connector and put a paperclip in the 2 pins to create a loop. Turn key on and voila.
If its not this than its most likely the relay.
