You can test your fan by getting yourself two pieces of wire that will reach the front of your car from the battery.

Unplug the fan connector located next to the fan shroud. Now take the wires and connect the "+" on the batter to the "+" on the connector. Do the same for the "-".

If the fan turns on then it works. If it doesnt you will want to grab a paper clip (or wire) and locate the thermoswitch (fan switch) located on the thermostat housing. Unplug it and jump the female portion of the connector by inserting the paper clip in each end.

If you hear a "click" and the fan comes on then your relay is good.

I believe there is a fuse in the engine bay fuse box that does control the fan/heater also.

what exactly do u mean by both checked out ok? did u make sure ur fan was engaging when the engine was at reg. temp? or did u just test the fan to see if it worked? if u havent done so, turn on car let it warm up to reg. temp, if temp keeps rising and fan does not engage, u might want to check the fuses...or did u check the fuses as well?

Yea, temp gauge was almost pegged and the fan didnt kick on. Checked all fuses in both compartments, all were good. Then ran the test above, checking the fan, and it came on.

I was at Honda today lilo_goki and I talked to a tech there. He said he would check the thermostat ( see if its sticking ) and the 2 other sensors that regulate the cooling system ( ECT sending unit and coolin fan switch ). If you wanna test em, lemme know and ill write up the procedure.
