my car has been rattling for about 8 months now. it rattles (tick tack tack tacktacktack tick tick tack) in a very sparatic way, during idle and when i accelerate a bit. once the car has been running for around 10 minutes, it stops, but u can faintly hear it at idle. i just had a valve adjustment done, and the car still rattles/ticks.

any ideas??

 

ive added a sound clip of what it sounds like. u can faintly hear it behind the tick of the injectors, but it is there, and is sparatic.

c'mon, someone out there has to have a solution, i have searched this time and time again, and cant get an answer. help would be appreciated.

 

try to retard timing from dizzy... sounds like them marbles in the engine...

I figured it would be at all times.

 

what's up with your idle? it goes high.... low, high... low....? maybe it's relayed... check your timing at the cam
