smoke out the intake manifold huh? well, im going to guess that your timing is just a little fucked up. try getting that engine ticking right, then maybe check out things like your tps sensor, and such... are you sure that this motor ran originally, before you swapped it into you car?

i bought the motor from jazzmotorsport r something like that. see i think we spray too much starter fluided into the intake manifold...it sould like it wanna start up and all but it wont stay running.

i had this problem too... not the smoke think thats from the starter fluid. does the car have higher milage. theres a plastic piece behind the ignition that actually will turn the car on. on my rex the plastic was worn and wouldnt stay in the on postion. it would crank turn on and then when i let go of the key it would kill or it would run for a little bit and then kill when the vibrations moved the key just the slightest bit. then it just woudlnt stay on at all. its a long shot but if everything else (fuel, spark, and sensors are good then i would look into this. how to check is crank it, when its on then just let the key go of the key but make sure it stays in the on postion.............. long shot but hey worth a try.
