umm why would you advance your cam timing due to milling??? maybe the ignition timing.. but cam degreeing should have no affect.. probably why you found nothing when searching, all degreeing your cam does is change your powerband... since you milled maybe your compression went up.. and maybe can advance ignitions timing

u need to compensate for the missing material on the head because when you mill it off, the timing belt distance is basically shortened a bit and will affect the tdc of the cams.

sorry i dont konw a formula off hand, i usually just tune my cam gears on the dyno and see what makes power

I have had my head milled .030 as well. after all the searches the best info I could find seemed to be .012=1 degree at the cam. so a .030 would be 2.5 degress advanced. thats what i am going to do until i get it to the dyno. getting my head back tomorrow myself. hope that helps a bit. good luck.

if your using stock cams use the pin holes on the cam to align that cam at TDC. I just installed my stock cams back in tonight on a .030 headshave. it came out to 2 degrees on both cams was pretty much right on. perhaps 2.5 degrees at most. so .012-.015=1 degree seems to be about right. Ohh yeah using golden eagle cam gears as well and they are very precise.

The formula is simple geometry. You can measure the diameter of the cam gears, or also measure the tooth pitch on the belt and count the number of teeth on the cam gears. Then figure out how much ".30" (inches, is it?) will change the angle on the gear (and you remember that the cam gears turn half as much as the crank, right?). Anyway, 0.30 inches is quite a bit, and you may have problems with the tensioner taking up the slack. Might want to check your clearances and structural integrity of the head, etc.

If you mean .30mm or if you meant to say 0.030 inches, then you probably don't need to worry about your timing.
