want to know of any lightweight 84mm 13:1 compression pistons
I was looking aroud and was wanting to rebuild the type r motor for more power go with a dry sump and electric water pump while im at it I want to sleeve it and run bigger pistons I wanna do 84mm so I will still have room to rebuild the motor when I need too. I want to do my compression ratio around 13:1 possibly even higher dont know yet. this is not going to be driven on the street it isnt driven on the street as it is. anyways down to the question I havent found too many poeple that make a light weight 84mm piston. as everyone knows weight is everything in a all motor car. does anyone knows a company that makes a lightweight piston fitting my specs? as far as custom pistons go thats all ways an option. also I am running crower maxi light rods right now does anyone know of another company that makes forged rods that are lighter then the crower for under 1200? right now as it sits its a b18c5 block port flow head. crower stage 3 cams, valves. valve springs, retainers. itbs crower maxi light rods on some shitty *** forged pistons. completly ballenced and blueprinted bottom end. with acl race bearings. thanks for your guys input
Make the phone calls to CP,JE,Arias etc...Talk with them and make the decision.Titanium wrist pins are a good option finally. They are compatible now by using DLC (diamond like coatings) that are available now.Long rod setups make the piston light with adding only a little rod weight.
