the engine is a ls vtech computer is aem. the car will only idle when the throttle is held at 10%. there is a port for a vaccume source were the iac is i blocked it off thinking it whould leak vaccume. could this be the problem. thanks

 

do you have an IAC hooked up? If there is no IAC your car is not going to idle well, at all

 

its hooked up. i think the vaccume source that is blocked off is the problem. its my friends car and i cant go mess with it un till friday.

here is the vaccume source it goes right to the iac port.

i think it might be for the iac, mybe it lets more air in at idle?

 

its for the IAC> u leave it open so the iAC can get air to let the motor idle a bit better. IMO its too ******* small and deosnt do ****. you shoudl tap it and build a lil plate and give the IAC a bigger vac source. OFF the intake manifold !
