What bolt-ons are ok if car is still under warranty?
My Civic is still under Honda's extended warranty until 7years/75k miles and I want to do some modifications but I don't want to void the warranty. I'm interested in putting on a cold air intake, headers, hi-flow cat, and exhaust. Will any of these void my extended warranty?
Also, I know that none of these stock parts are covered under the extended warranty, so I don't see it being an issue. I just don't want to void the warranty on my engine with these parts. Please help!

Any ones you want as long as the part doesnt cause a malfunction(or atleast the dealer cant find a way to blame the part)..

Yes, all of them will void the warranty. They all have to do with your engines performance, and if you blow your motor they will say its cause of these parts. Can you blame them though-- if you put that crap on there you are obviously going to want to race it. The shitty part is that you usually dont blow your motor racing, you will just suck up some water in your CAI and be SOL. Just wait til the warrranty is up, or buy a cheap old civic to use as a project car, like most people do, and keep that as your daily driver.

any time you modify the performance of your engine (including intakes or exhaust work or internals) you will most likely void your powertrain portion of your warranty
if you do any sort of wiring and effects any of the other items in the car it will void the body warranty
I am a technician at an Acura dealership.....if you have any specific questions feel free to ask

yep
yep
until you realize there are people like me that post on this forum that are responsible for reporting any vehicle with known modifications to Honda headquarters or to Tech Line so they can flag the vehicle's VIN
be careful what you do/say because all it takes is for me to find out your location and last name and your warranty is possibly void

Report me, I have lots of Honda's, every damn one of them with an engine swap too.

HAHA,
But I think there was a wink in his post. I think he would be more inclined to report if some guy blew up his engine using nitrous then trying to warranty the car.
The bolt on mods that the initial poster put up are hardly likely to do any damage to the car.
Also you should find a dealership that is aftermarket friendly. There are some dealerships that will do anything to avoid warranty work.
