Default low comp all motor...

My car used to be turbo and im running LS/vtec with 9:1 aries pistons, ported head, valvetrain, and now a stock p28. Anyone ever drive their car all motor with low compression pistons?

You wont make good power with that compression.

its not all that bad; you wont be able to run big cams though. For mild power expectations it will work.

well i dont plan to make power or anything i just want to have it running. you know still waiting for my other motor. Im going to be running the stock b16 cams. will that be chill? im just wondering if the motor will break or have problems driving it like that.

it will run perfectly fine and you can run regular fuel too......save some $$$

it will be a little sluggish all over the RPM range but who cares really....

I had mine rebuilt with 9:1 pistons about 3 months ago, ran out of money for turbo. 20 miles to work and back each day with no problems.(B16)

You may benefit from a retune, you can def get away with running more timing or cheaper fuel, and shouldnt have det. problems.

Stick with stock cams, any big cams that will drastically lower your dynamic compression is gonna hurt cuz you aint got the static to compensate.

I broke in my b18 with 9:1 compression before I put my turbo on and it ran like ****, no power whatsoever
