Default VSS Speed Sensor Question?

I am in college at the University of Kentucky and just bought a 93 Civic DX coupe.

It has 157xxx miles and lots of stuff has been replaced. Head gasket, head re done, valves reseated, new timing belt, water pump, alternator, etc.

They ran a dianostic on it and said the speed sensor was bad. My father said on the way home the speedometer stopped reading. Thus I need a new speed sensor.

How hard would this be to change in a parking garage with the right tools? My father is bringing the car down this weekend with the sensor and he has access to many tools.

Does anyone know of links or pictures on how this can be done? Its a simple unbolt the two 10mm and put the new one on and plug it in correct?

Thanks

it has one 10mm bolt... should take a minute or two and its very easy to get to... theres soooo much room under the hood of an eg with a single cam

It is quite easy to change. It helps having a REALLY long extension on your ratchet (I use a 24") to undo the bolt. You won't have to jack up the car or anything, but it does help to remove the intake tube (requires phillips screw driver)

my skinny *** can get right in there and do it without removing anything and without any extentions
