Idle Air Control acting up After Engine Rebuild.
I have a B16, and when i pulled out the engine, there was no check engine lights, and the car idled fine.
Well i pulled out the engine to rebuild. And i just put the engine back in the car. now its throwing a check engine light for Idle Air Control, and the car is idleing up and down. Making it really hard to cruise at low rpm's. Well i have about 3 of those sensors here. So i tried all three of them and it keeps doing the same thing. They are all cleaned out too.
Any ideas?

The coolant is full. Motor and radiator had nothing in them, so i just filled them up. Does it matter which coolant lines i have running to it? Can that make a differnce?
check all grounds and i recommend locktide on the ground harness bolt on the t-stat housing....
try cleaning the iac with brake clean to get the .
and brup the system and check timming!
if that fails try watering down the intake manifold to see if you have a vacuum leak.

1st gen b16 from what i can tell on your avatar?
if so you, your spring may have backed out. its mounted under the throttle body and coolant lines run threw them

I will try everything you said. Its a second gen b16. THe motor is fully rebuilt though. 13:1 compression, rods, valve train, stroker crank, etc.

Timing belt is on perfect, and i used a timing light to do the distributor timing. so timing is all good. I also cleaned the IAC. I have a JG throttle body on the car. It runs two coolant lines through it.

Sounds like you plugged in the wrong plug on the idle control valve , have seen this happen alot. When you plug the wrong one in it will give you that code. Check the wire colors and make sure you have the right one plugged in , just my .02 cents. Try that and let me know.

I tried both plugs. But it seems to be happening no matter which one is plugged in. I will figure it out, it just annoying
Check the correct plug and make sure it is making good contact , remember to reset your ecu everytime you do a different test to erase the code. Good luck !
man i had this same problem for the longest time i tried everything swaping plugs i bought a new iac but one day i finally figured it ou it was the plugs so try to plug the plug that you have pluged into you knock sensor into the iac sensor thats what i finally figured out after dealing with hard driving conditions under 2000 rpm so try that
