Abnormal surging
When i first start my car it goes up to 2500rpm. Then after warming up a little it surges between 1-2000rpm. Then finally when its halfway in the middle of of cold and hot it sits just below 1000rpm. It didn't do this before but maybe like 2 or so weeks ago started this weird surging. Any ideas? Any solutions?
yeah i checked all that. Oil is fine. Coolant is fine. All the liquids are fine. I don't understand why its doing this now. Any other ideas?
where though. They all seem to be fine. Where would there be a vacume leak? The break booster is fine. i checked the other ones i don know. Seems weird.

Check the i.a.c valve (idle air control). When they get sludged up, it tends to do that. Try unplugging it while it is happening, if it stops then that is your problem. I hope this helps.
Fast idle thermo valve.
Its under the TB, held on by 3 10mm bolts. Remove it and make sure its all the way screwed in. If it is, wrap the SOB in duct tape or something to block off flow on top and reinstall it. Ghetto fix, but it works if you dont want to replace it.
You can test it by pulling off the intake while its idling, and plugging the lower hole inside the TB with your finger. If the idle dies down and stays steady, fitv is bad.

is it in the back closer to the firewall with a electricle connection to it? I don't see the 3 10mm bolts on it. I see 2 screws on this though, is that it?
actually i don't see two screws...there are rivets on them. Do i have to take the whole throttle body off for this, because i can't find the 3 10mm you are talking about.
Thats the IACV.
The FITV is directly under the TB. On the actual underside.
3 10mm bolts with the heads facing the ground hold it in. You can remove it from the TB, just a hose and the 3 bolts.

took off the throttle body, took the valve off...then put duct tape over that left hole and put it back on...its all done. Finally damn junker. Now to worry about my rear LCAs and the damn bushings. Just wish i knew a place to take the suspension to get that put on and get them to put new bushings in.
