How to mount degree wheel onto crankshaft or crank pulley
As the title states, for those who degree your camshafts, how are you mounting the degree wheel to the cranl or crank pulley. I have a Comp Cams camshaft degreeing kit and would like to know how it is mounted. Is there any special type or jig that you are using?

sorry about not being able to help with your question, but i was interested in the degree kit and was wondering what you used for the piston stop?
I just cleaned the crank pulley and used 3M spray adhesive and carefully stuck the degree wheel on the crank pulley. For an indicator I cut, straightened and sharpened one end of a coat hanger. Then I used a spare bolt and mounted the indicator to where my AC pump would mount. My engine was on a stand so I used the flywheel bolts to turn the crank. It was kind of ghetto but it did the job for cheap and I got the measurements I needed.

I have the comp cams kit, but haven't used it yet as you can see I am asking how to mount the degree wheel. The kit comes with a piston stop but have not tried it yet.
There has to be more knowledgeable people regarding the mounting.
I just received my Fluidampr, it has 3 threaded holes on it that matches the Comp cam degree wheel. I could bolt it on, but then I would need to make my own markings on the degree wheel since I am unable to adjust the degree wheel when setting true TDC.
Is there some other way to do it, if not then I guess I will just use what I got.

Ok, got everything down. Got true TDC set now.
I am locking vtec using the Honda Air Stopper tools and pressurizing the vtec system.
Cam duration is at 1mm, so I take the reading of the opening and closing readings on the degree wheel when the dial indicator hits 1mm.
This is where I am uncertain, do I set the valve lash to the recommended .02mm before I begin or do I zero the lash and start from there?

rofl......He's locking vtec just to get the lobe center readin for the vtec lobe. After he is finished setting/reading his lobe center he will "unlock" vtec.

To degree a cam, you set zero lash.
Degreeing a cam allows you to determine precisely the valve events on your particular motor, so you know everything is installed correctly and have a baseline for future adjustments.
