Default installin new clutch and light weight flywheel

in the next couple of weeks im gonna be instalin a new clutch and flywheel on the teg. the clucth is hurting. im goin with the exedy organic clutch(thats whats in there now) unless someone knows of something esle just as good right around the same price. im also installin a machined lightened and balanced type r flywheel(13lbs). heres my main question, since its used(3000 miles) my buddy said before we put it in we should lightly wet sand it with like 800 grit. thoughts?

The fly wheel is used? If you just bring it to a machine shop and get it turned. Its only 20 maybe less then you'll have no problems.

just like everyone else says get it turned. Your friend is on the right train of thought. A new disk needs a clean surface that is lightly roughed to seat properly but the machine shop is the best bet, why chance messing up a new disk
