Default Type R cams

can you put Type R cams in a 1994 Acura integra Gs-R, without upgrading the valve springs or retainers?

yes, the effect is minimal without the valvetrain to support them. dont try to rev the engine pass 8.2k

i would go with some skunk2 stage 1 cams, more aggressive and u will yield more power gains.

you can, but it won't be as durable as switching your intake springs over to the exhaust side, and getting some itr intake springs.

I would go with a ctr intake cam...aftermarket sprockets with a hondata...proper tuning and you should see some gains....

that depends.

how much of an effort are you going to make to have the car tuned properly for the new lift?

If you accidentally miss a shift with R cams and GSR valvesprings you are TOAST.

ITR intake springs are less than $100, and then swap over to the exhaust like daver said.

I noticed a stronger top end with the cams... thats all I can say... haha
