Thanks for trying to help... I need a tach capable of reading 12K RPM's. I've asked before with little helpa nd have just been told that the Apexi tach will read 12,000. Now... I was going with the Autometer Ultra Lite Pro Comp gauges b/c I liked the silver faces and they were cost effective. Now that Autometer can't help me I'm hoping you can. Does anyone know what companies make a tach capable of reading 12k RPMs accuretly? I would like to see some pics of the Apexi and other tachs and gauges to decide how I can do this... I'm not crazy about the white face.. and the Indoglo seems like plain rice to me. I don't want people to look in my car and see a 5" tach glowing bright blue in the middle of my dash. Now, if this is my only option... whats the deal with the Indiglo. I used to have indiglo gauges back in the day.. no crack ok? lol i'm over that stuff now... anyways... they faded... is the apexi tach going to look faded in 6 months? Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks

Look at the pic and you see that it goes up to 12K. When you see it it actually reads 1-10K, but after 10K you will see a bold line that goes along the 1-2K. That indicates 11-12K.

 

what other brands do I have to choose from? not crazy about the indiglo still...

no larger than 3" tach. summit racing sells them for waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy under the rice 5" tachs shift light = $70 or get a tach with a light built into the face of it

 

that's all good and all... except I need a tach that will read up to 12,000 RPM's... and no tach @ summit racing does that... Nor have I ever seen a tach, aside from the Apexi, that will read that high and still be accurate.

 

anybody else... i know i'm not the only one on here redlining at 12k
