stroked d16???can it be done???

Default stroked d16???can it be done???

i have a d16z6 and want some more horse power.i was thinking about puttong b18c1 pistons and crank witha new comp cam??will i have to machine on the block and is it worth it???will rhe crank fit without major modification??how much horse power will these give me???any info will help??

dude dont do it. for that money you could have a ******* quick *** d16 turbo.

you will prob gain like 25 hp

You understand it costs $2000 to fit the GSR pistons iontot the block, then the motor MIGHT last 100 miles.

I've heard of it being done ONCE, engine only lasted 3 pulls on the engine dyno before the sleeves split.

lol good stuff, even with aftermarket sleeves that would be too large of a bore there wouldnt be any space for anything lol especially coolant

thats what happened. They had a 79mm sleeved NA block, scored the walls......junk.......

So lets go 81mm and try the LS stockers.....

You can get a reliable 1690cc and run 10psi boost on the stock 2001+ D17 crank/rods/pistons, and they swap into your Z6 with moderate but simple work.

if anything for a d16 i would bore it to something like 78mm and then destroke it so its crazy rev happy

Sounds like a smaller version of a B16. No Torque.

I have a tiny turbo on my stroker and hit more torque than a H22 makes in horsepower by 6000 rpm.

i make more hp and torque than an h22 makes ever before 5000 rpm whats your point
