Default Fitted a BMC CDA to my ITR (long)

For the last 18months i have been running a short ram intake with an open apexi filter, shield and cold air feed. In my opinion it worked very well, i didnt think i was suffering from heat soak and the car seemed to pull well all the way through the rev band. A few weeks ago i got the opportunity to buy a used BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox for small money and i had always been thinking of changing to an enclosed intake/filter.
Fitting it was a piece of ****, it basically shoves onto the end of the stock rubber intake pipe and i ran the cold air feed down into the front bumper (JDM bumper) with left side vent cut out, so its getting a perfect supply of cold air all the time. I wanted to set it up as a ram air supply but the piping is too large (100mm) and i cant get the end of it to sit out fluch with the mesh i have now fitted in the front vent, so the pipe sits just behind it facing outwards (off course) I covered the whole cold air pipe in duck tape as i didnt want it ripping (its that light aluminium foil flexi hose)
The first noticeable thing i found was how quiet the engine now is, i used to get a sweet induction roar and it absolutely screamed in VTEC, but that has all gone now. There is a note change when VTEC comes in but its so subtle now. Low end i dont notice any difference at all, it still pulls as hard as ever but higher up it has definitely gained. With the short ram the car pulled strong but the power/torque seemed to level out up over 7000rpm, it didnt loose power, it just didnt seem to gain any more and pulled smoothly to the redline. Now the engine continously gains power all the way up, its a constant increase with no leveling off.
I have a spoon ecu and the engine used to bog slightly in 4th gear just as vtec came in at 5000rpm but now that also seems to be gone. The only downside i have noticed with it is that when coasting in 2nd gear downhill (in towns) not giving it any gas, the car chugs/hops a bit. I'm guessing that its being caused by lack of air as it only started happening since i fitted the CDA. Its no biggy and i can live with it for now. And lastly, i can now hear my Legalis-R all the way to the top end, before hand the intake drowned it out at anything over 4000rpms!

CDA is not good for vtec imho....

Dyno tests here with CDA are always < than stock air box.
