Vafc On Boosted Crx with Uberdata????? (for tach only.. will it mess up tune)
i sold my tach...and i was able to pick up a vafc for 100$ and anyway i have a built ls vtec boosted tuned with uberdata....and i wanna install the vafc just to use as a tach because i like how u can see where u last shift was and its extremely accurate...now if i leave all the settings and values at 0 will it mess with anything?
If you need it just for the tach then just use the rpm signal wire and dont use the fuel or vtec wires,,Just to be safe..
I dont think it would hurt anything if its all setup as long as you keep the values at 0..But Im not completely sure..

yeh you could just run the power/ground to ecu and just connect the rpm and vaccum signal so you can get readings.. leave vtec and fuel **** disconnected if thats what you want.
or
you could still connect it and run 0% for fuel and have your vtec set at the same engagement its at now. that way it will run the same as your uberdata tune and wont effect it.
but what happens if your at 10psi tuned and want 12-15psi at track and your not tuned for it. you could use the vafc to add more fuel. or what if your driving a long ways and you have a jdm s1 or b16 trans and want to save gas, and your tune vtec is at 4500-5k so to not be in vtec all the time on the highway/turnpike set your vtec to 6-6.5k.

use the shift light from uberdata...its cheaper and less things for someone to want to steal from your car.

thats cool i guess to each thier own i was just trying to save him money. I know i never have that much money to spend just on a tach.
I guess what i should have wrote was no it wont mess anything up using the vafc as a tach with uberdata as long as the settings are left at zero.
