maintance required light
wat exactly falls under the maintance required, im not sure what is wrong and im always so busy i never really have time to look into it. my oil is fine and my oil light isnt on... i think i remember hearing that it mite be mechinally driven by the milage or wat not and u jus have to reset it. only thing i cud think of is my slave and master cylinder are about to give out and im jus waitin on the master to come in so i can install it, but i wudnt think the light would be on because of that... answers?
The maint. req'd light is on a timer basically. At certain mileages on the odometer, it comes on to remind you to take it to the dealership to have routing manitenence performed on the vehicle. These actions include oil changes, all other fluid changes, tire rotation, timing belt change, etc.
If you keep up with your own stuff and know when to replace worn parts, you can reset it yourself. There's a button underneath the driver's side dash that you hold in.
