VTEC Not working
I'm sure this has already been asked but the search function isn't working so i need some ideas on what to check for this problem. I have a 2000 Type R with a Jackson Racing Supercharger on it. back in Febuary i had a misshift and bent all my exhaust valves. after i got it back from the shop from having the valves replaced VTEC just didn't seem to be there anymore. I asked around on this site and others and people told me that you can't feel that transission to VTEC cause of the Blower and so forth. Yet i could feel it before the misshift. anyways I always thought it wasn't there cause my car was lossing its top end power at around 6,500. Now fast forward to two days ago. I broke the supercharger belt so i'm running N/A untill the new belt gets here tomorrow. So i opened it up to where we set my VTEC point when we tunned it at 5,100 and theres nothing. No VTEC loudness or kick. So what could my problem be. First thing i did was check and toped off my oil. still nothing. So next were going to check my selonoid. What are things to look for while checking it. also what else could it be if thats not it. could the shop have messed up on something in the head? Any help will be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.
What did you tune with? Hondata? Maybe since its tuned for SC the vtec engagement point has been effected and/or the tuning is just somehow effecting it.
I am no expert but it makes sense man. Goodluck

I can't offer anything but my experiences...
When I had my GSR everything worked, VTEC engaged right when it was supposed to. When I turbocharged it and used Hondata to tune (took it to a shop to have the tuning done) it seemed like it was gone. Now, with my ITR I expected the same, but with the AEM unit and the tune by AMS VTEC engages right when it's supposed to again, causing massive wheelspin...I kinda wish it wasn't there now

My car is tunned on Neptune. I don't think that would make any difference unless maybe we forgot to turn it back on. I'll have to check with who tunned it but i'm pretty positvie thats not it.
Very stupid but my friends and I play jokes on each other and un-plug the solenoid. Have you checkd the obvious? I know you got the oil, but go check the wiring. Any codes?

Its actually kinda funny. The friends that are in the know do it to the ones that aren't, within 5 minutes of driving the car they're calling crying saying that there car is broke.
