whats the best sounding magnaflow for my turbo d-series. what diamiter should i run.

 

lookin for good sounding exhaust

whats your set-up?

 

d16z6 with t3 turbo, rev hard mani, 450 inj, lookin for a deep tone good sounding exhaust

 

I run the straight through 2.5" oval, sounds nice and deep

 

are you talking about a idle sound or a WOT sound? you wont get a deep idle tone with a small turbo, or almost any turbine in the exhaust stream for that matter

 

my friends lsvtec turbo has a great sound with 3 inch on a magnaflow. thats y im asking for what sounds good on a d series

 

My thermal r&d sounds pretty sick. Real deep.

 

my n1 sounds good now but im lookin for something a little louder

 

depending on your power goals...just go 3" with a magnaflow oval...sounds real nice and deep

why louder?

 

magnaflow has a ton of sound clips on their web page....i have yet to hear one raspy ricer sounding muffler from them

not so much louder, i just want more of the racing sound not the usual canister sound, if you know what i mean, more aggresive tone.

Then just do piping with no muffler and a resonator or open down pipe. It'll sound mean but not annoying.

 

one of my buddies did that but its too loud. atually its really loud. lol i actually know what i want now but thanks for all the help
