Hey guys I need some help, I have a 95 civic dx automatic-5-speed swap and a jdm d15b vtec. the engine seems to be running fine, reving pretty quick and all, but the clutch pedel seems to be engaging sorta high. This is really no problem except for the fact my car will go all the way to 90mph in second gear before i hit the redline on the engine. In third gear i cannot even get the car to really go over 5 grand. My question was is it possible that I bought a cx tranny thinking it was an ex, and what would be he best tranny for this setup. May it be something else like timing, or vaccume leak or maybe partially engaged clutch any info would help. Also might I add that when I am on it in any gear and I run it up to redline and shift the car falls outta vtec, I did'nt think a vtec car did that i thought that while your on it and in vtec it would or should stay above the vtec engagement point. I dont know whats up but I would love to figure it out.

 

That is definately a Vx or Cx tranny. i remember my Vx went about that high in MPH.
its no dx or ex/si tranny i can tell u that.
