Default Lexan windshield bracing

I've seen 1 and 2 bar/strap set ups from various pics online. However, how are they attached in the car? Are the bolted or welded in and to where (what points)?

A few pics or links would be really helpful.

Thanks!
Steve

use 1/4 inch tubing, weld it to the cage at the top of the windsheild, and along the bottom, weld it to the sheetmetal.

in this picture, there is a small tab welded onto the sheetmetal, the dash slides under it, and the windshield tube gets welded to the topside.

Awesome info, thanks! I won't have a dash so the install should be pretty easy.

How did you determine the curvature of the tube or did you just use trial and error?

Thanks again!

if you have your piece of lexan, you can put that in. then look "across" the windsheild, and position the support so there are no "dips" in the lexan.

You may want to weld tabs on the cage and bolt the support instead of just welding the support directly to the cage. You never know when you will want to remove the support.

I was hoping I could do that. A lot easier to adjust and to remove.

Thanks!
