i kno this is a stupid question but im really stumped right now. i forgot what engines come in the 96-00 hatchbacks. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I personally own a '96 Civic CX and it's perfect for a daily driver. The D16Y7 is an absolutely gutless engine, but does get you very nice gas milage and is quite quiet and as reliable as any other Honda engine. Any of the Civic lineup will do you fine for a daily driver. The Si will eat up more gas, though, if that's your concern.
