Civic help
I was thinking of picking up a Civic EK from the year 96-00 and wanted to know what models there are. Like EX, Si, DX stuff like. And what engine does the lower models come with. What engine does the type R come with. Thanks

US trims are CX, DX, EX GX, HX, LX, Si and VP (also known as DX-V or SE).
CX is the least equipped model, and only comes as a hatch.
The EX and Si are the highest models with the most options. The Si is the performance model, coming with the 1.6L DOHC VTEC and rear disc brakes.
The HX is the economy model. It has a 1.6L VTEC-E engine for better gas mileage.
The GX is the rarest model. It comes with an engine that runs on natural gas.
