Default How do I tell what type of engine I have??

Don't flame me too hard, as I did use the search feature and couldn't find what I needed. I am picking up my 98 Civic EX this weekend, and want to know what kinda engine it has in it before I get it. Is there an easy way to tell? Did they use the same engine types in all of the models in the same year?

Thanks in advance for the help!

you will have a d16y8 engine, unless it was swapped out.
