whats the best SOHC motor?
I was wondering which of the sohc's are the best. I know that the D16Y8 intake manifolds is the biggest and flow the best but I was wandering about the rest.
Do any of them have a stronger bottom end? Strong or better flowing head? I'm trying to build a quick single cam car and want some advice and knowledge.
I've already had good experiences the the single cam ZC's and D16Y8's but I don't really know about the rest of SOHC's.
Thanks

in my findings the sohc zc bottom end with the y8 head would be the best combo. that's what i'm going for... nobody likes the mini me... but then again... nobody takes the time to dyno tune it to get it to work right... peace...

basically the reasoning behind that decision... and this is basically what i've gathered... is that the sohc zc bottom end is supposedly built with stronger pistons than the a6 motor. that and the sohc zc motor should theoretically have less miles on it.
i on the other hand am sticking with my a6 bottom end till it blows. then i'm gonna get a sohc zc bottom end. i've never met anyone who's done a mini-me. i've never done a mini-me but i've read up on it and learned alot. the above is my opinion...
