ok it seemed obvious, but the helms did not say if u have to drain the coolant when replacing the water pump, so do u have to drain or no???

yes u do have to drain the coolant, if you dont it will poor all over you when u take the pump out. You'll have some coolant that will poor out even if you'll drain the radiator, but this way the pump spill will be easier to clean up, then all the coolant out of the radiatot.

i thought so, wonder why helms left it out, also, it says to put RTV sealant around the wp gasket, is RTV the same as hondabond???

 

yup. RTV = Hondabond
