Default Coolant problem

For the past few months I've been losing a lot of coolant so I shecked around the water pump and found that it was leaking from the weeper holes so I changed the o-ring gasket with a new one and thought that it'll solve my coolant leaking problems, but it didn't. It still leaks and I'm not sure if I should just change the whole water pump or not. I read in the service manual that you'll only need to change the water pump when it makes a houling sound but if it leaks a lot from the weeper holes than you need to change the o-ring gasket. Any solutions?

pump is dying when it makes that sound...change it out...you may be boiling coolant away

Thanks for your reply DragII, but my water pump isn't making the houling sound, its just leaking again even though I changed the o-ring gasket.

ooops! read it wrong...however...although the pump is expensive...it does not make sense to go through the labor of changing the gasket with out doing the whole pump.
