a/c relay
ok my a/c stoppd working the other day. so i went to get the freon refilled. once they refilld it the compressor wouldnt kick on. so the guy bypassed it and ran it straight from the battery. he told me i had an electrical problem. im thinkin its the a/c relay does anyone know where it is and its for a 92 prelude SI
try shorting the A/c compressor manually. do this by connecting the A/C pump wire to a 12v source. you can do it with the car running or not. if its not running, you'll hear a loud click. if it is running, you'll see the clutch engage. if it works, then see if its the relay. if the relay checks good, it might be your low pressure switch.

I just fixed mine today by re-soldering the connections on the climate control circuit board in the dash. Thought I needed a new accumulator, but just turns out that it was losing the electrical connection on the board. If your lights on the climate control buttons flicker or don't come on at all, or if you have trouble swithcing the air flow buttons, you might want to look into that.
yep, my car did the same thing. I just bypass the on switch, and made my own switch. you would have to know the color. let me know if you still can fix it i will like at my car and tell you the two wire color to jump the together.
I had the same issue in my car.
It was a broken wire between AC pressure sensor and AC thermostat.
In my case the wire has broken about 15 cm (so 7 inch
) on the left from AC pressure switch.
The same story my buddy had in his civic.......
So first check the continuity between AC pressure switch and AC thermostat (it is the blue-yellow wire).
The AC pressure switch is on the left down side of AC condenser, you can access it by the bumper hole, and the AC thermostat is stright before passenger legs, on the evaporator box. You will need to remove the glove box panel to get a better access.

Behind the passenger-side headlight (right in front of the intake filter if you have an "ebay pipe"), there is a sightglass on your a/c lines. Turn on the a/c and watch that sightglass (works better to shine flashlight on it). If you can see air bubbles going by while the system is on then it wasn't fully charged/charged correctly.
