Default help resetting my SRS

i used to have an aftermarket steering wheel but it was hella lame so i put the stock one back on. anyways the srs light has been on ever since and its been a good 6 months.

and i took the wheel apart and tried resetting it but the light is still on. im wondering if anything looks wrong to you guys.

i mean it seems pretty simple theres only a few plugs.. here are some pics. tell me if there is anything wrong or if you need other pics to tell me what is wrong
thanks.

when i took this appart i found that the yellow male plug was plugged into the female red plug.. but there is no wires or anything that come from the red one..

Take it to the dealer.

When you removed it you didn't spin the clockspring at all did you?

If you can't get it fixed and just want the light off, pull out the cluster an unplug the small YELLOW plug behind... or leave it plugged and pull the SRS lightbulb out...

Leave.

Doing that will completely defeat the purpose of having the airbag. With the light on the system is inoperative.

To the original poster:

The clockspring is a circular piece that has a harness extending from each side that allows constant connection between the airbag and the module even when the wheel is turned.

if you did turn the clockspring, it shouldn't be hard to find out which way it goes.... it can only make like 2 revolutions either way if I remember correctly... so if you're getting like 3 one way and 1 the other... heh

Can't the light be reset without taking it to the dealer?

that means: hmmm, i dont wanna fix the problem, just coverr it up.
oh and to the he/she, its not a lot of work to do that... obviously you really should FIX the problem, but if you just want the light gone, my suggestion will be the way to go... its like 5 minutes to get the bezel and cluster out, unplug, 5 minutes in... its like 15 minutes work tops.

Ok, my mechanic friend that works at the Honda dealership says that you have to cross the negative terminal to the positive terminal on the batter for like 10 seconds. Doesn't make sense to me but that's what he says

I agree with you, that's what I told him too, heh. He never really explains himself very well either so I don't know. I'll have to see what he means

Did you try reseting it using the MES connector procedure?
