Default Which Iridium plug????

Denso Iridium plug 5304 IK20 $11.99
NGK IX iridium 3764 BKR6EIX-11 0.044 $6.95
NGK Iridium plug 6741 IFR6E-11 0.044 $11.71

Anyone know why the IX plug is so much cheaper than the others? I need some new plugs for the beater, so thought I would get some for the R also.

I know Rob, but none of them go into specifics on why one is better than the other.

yea, when i was trying to find new plugs yesterday, all the autoparts stores said the only one factory replacement for the R was the NGK R laser something. whatever it was, it was going to be over $40 for new plugs. I decided not to get new ones

I'm using denso IK22's, i had IK20's in before and noticed no difference in the two sets. I also tried HAMP VK22's which are just rebaded IK22's.

I have NGK IX iridium. Did not feel a difference from the stock plug.

NGK coppers. $10 bucks for a set. Replace them every other oil change, and you're good to go

I was thinking about that, but it seems more expensive. Let's say the set of the iridiums going to cost me $50 after shipping, but last 30k. If I use the $10 set every 3k, that's going to be $100 worth of plugs by the time I hit 30k making them twice as expensive correct?

waste of $ IMO

I rock Vpower 6 and 7 range plugs and they work just dandy.

I was exaggerating a bit on the changing cycle. They are good for 15-20k miles usually. I change mine a bit more often due to track days and occasional tuning.

the BKR7EIX's are great. still in good shape after about 20k miles.

the only reason i swapped them out is because i had to upgrade to an 8 heat range.

i dont think the extra $6 per plug is going to break the bank
