Default Brake Light..

Why would it be on??


It has enough fluid
E brake is not on
Car stops fine, but its annoying!!!!

92 Hatch, with GSR brakes all around....

It didn't come one till last fall outta the blue, but the sat since then, so its now time to fix it....help a brotha out! thx!!

bake fluid, ABS if you have it isent working correctly, switch for the e-brake is misaligned giving a false reading are the most probable ones.

no abs...

its a track car......so its lighten'd to the max...


I don't think its an pad indication (last time I heard civics don't have that....)

how do I check the ebrake handle for an indicator thing??

1) parking brake switch

2) master cylinder cap (floater) i know this happens on newer cars but I dont remember if these older civics have it...

you should check the ecu to see if any codes are coming back. if nothing i would check the brake switches. the pedal and the e-brake. good luck
