i was in the car with my friend and all of sudden his subs just stopped working. the fuses are fine. the light on the amp is on so the amp is getting power.so i narrowed ir down to the speaker wires and the subs must be fucked up. all the wires were connected fine and while i was checking the wires and stuff the subs would cut in and out for like 5 seconds. so i dont think that the speakers blew. i was thinking maybe i should replace the speaker wires all together. if so someone let me know. one last thing is that we have an home air conditioning wire hooked up from the deck to the rem spot on the amp. but i dont think that should be a problem because its worked for 2 months with that wire and i dont think the amp would even power up if that wire was shot. someone please help. im goin crazy with this thing.
this is gonna sound kinda funny but have you check the wire leads that plug into the sub? i used to work as a car audio salesman and you'd be amazed at how many times i have seen this problem and as soon as we pull the subs out the box for a warrany exchange we see a loose or unplugged wire.

Although there can be other things wrong, like wiring, connections and even wires shorting, or the amps protections circuits kicking in, the ones described above are common with bandpass box's.

if the problem is in anyway related to the voice coils... get rid of those subs... see if the place you got them from might still have a warranty or exchange program for them...
