Default CEL Does not come on when I turn the Key

So my car will not start and when I turn the key to the on position my CEL does not even come on.

Usually it is meant to come on for a few seconds then turn off but now it is not coming on at all.

I have tried numerous things including plugging in a different ECU, no joy.

Any ideas?

possibly, I will look into that, but it seems odd that my car doesn't start at the same time I start having this problem.

Car started fine and CEL worked correctly at startup, then next day car would not start and CEL did not come on.

The only thing I did inbetween those times was tighten my axle nuts. That seems unconnected.

If the bulb is working and you car won't start after the problem occur then it sounds like a bad ecu. Are you sure the other ecu you tried is in good working condition??

if you jumped the service connector and the light doesnt light up then u need to start checking wiring and confirm with a volt meter that there is no voltage getting to the bulb

I just think it more than the bulb, the check engine light not coming on is NOT my problem, it is merely an indicator to my REAL PROBLEM.

THE CAR WILL NOT START.

Any ideas, I don't care about the check engine light working I want my car to work, I just thought that the CEL not coming on might be an indicator to somone of what is wrong with my car.

Anyone?
