Default header question

I have heard good and bad opinions about the dc sport header. I have heard that they are constrictive and that they are the best flowing outside custom. now if they are constrictive i just heard that if you cut the collector off and weld a bigger piping it will flow better. let me know your opinoins. I have a dc sports but dont want pay for spoon or toda header and I have a b16. thanks for your info

Alot of people make good power with DC header and cutting off the tip and changing it to 2.5.

Depends on what part of the powerband your engine is tuned to. But generally, DC's 4-2-1 are regarded as the best for mid-range/top-end gains. Getting a 2.5" outlet header will sacrifice low-end and will hardly do anything for top-end unless your engine is actually moving that much air, ie. cams, supercharged. Generally.

DC makes lots of different header's, if you want a bigger outlet buy the DC header with the 3" outlet. i have that one and it works nicely!

you cant use a dc header if your boosted they obviously made the 3" outlet for N/A setups.

unless you are making big power 3" would be ridiculous...

2.5" will be fine.

I like DC sport but if you want a big collector you should get those e-bay DC style headers with a 2.5 inche collector. I put them on my b-series motor and they come in both 4-1 and 4,2,1 headers for $105 shipped. You can't go wrong with them instead of paying 3 and some change for real DC when the e-bay ones look exactly the same. ( I compared mine to my boys real DC)
