1991 Std Hatch. I need wiring pin out of Guage Cluster. I need to know which is RPM
I have a 1991 civic std. I have a si guage cluster in the car, it was all plug and play. It was working all the time. But the other day the whole cluster stoped working. I think i might have cut a plug or something that messed with it. My gas gauge dont work, my temp dont work, my rpm dont work. Only speedometer works becasue its mechanical not electrical.
So i need to find out the wiring of the Guage cluster, so i can wire up the RPM straight to the distributor. Can someone please give me a link or picture or tell me which wire on the cluter is the RPM. Thanks.

hey i just noticed this while i was looking through my archives for the entire guage cluster wiring diagrams..... if all you need is the tach pickup from the dizzy for the tachiee.... dude, theres tons of write ups... you could even head over to autometers site and use their instructions to find the wire. its a blue wire... I have a 88 std and i connected an aftermarket tach utilizing the blue wire on the dizzy ( there should be 2 wires... one blue and the other is black/yellow ) on my car they're to the right or the main dizzy plugs....
hey hey before i get riced... my car has the cluster WITHOUT a tach.... instead of dropping in an si cluster i bought a 2 inch tach, drilled a 2 inch hole in my dash and put it in...... looks good.... by the way, you could also use the tach pickup wire from the ecu instead of going to the dizzy.... you dont need the entire diagram anymore right? i can stop looking
:::edited:: ok im an ediot!!! i just noticed you said you need the wire pin out from the cluster and you already know which one to go from the dizzy.....

Well i know the dizzy wire is blue, but what color is the wire directly off of the guage cluster. I am still trying to retain the stock instrument panel
hey... ok that prob took more than 15 or 20 mins.... this should answer your question....

hey.... even on the guage cluster its blue... according to the diagrams, its b10 or b11 (the b side should have the most pinouts)....
good luck

nice job man. I am planning on putting a SI cluster in my newly acquired Civic STD
Is it straight drop in?
Is it straight drop in?
providing you get the right year its plug and play.. 88 and 89 are compatable and 90 and 91 are compatable. meaning 88 in a 90 is a PITA dont suggest it. Also it doesn't need to be an SI all Crx have tachs, HF's have a lower red line. Also can check into Sedans
To solve the problem with the post did you check your Fuses?? Check the under dash theres one for you fuses

I am thinking about putting a small guage on either side of it. Water Temp, and Oil Temp
