Default Tach doesn't work need help

my tach in my cluster doesn't work right now i think the problem is in the wiring. When I bought the car it was a wiring mess... Now i just need to know what wire in the harness is for the tach signal?

The wire for the tach lead is on the distributor which is a dark blue wire.

so is it still dark blue at the cluster? I know the problem has to be either at the cluster wiring or at the computer cause thats where the guy messed with it.
I guess I need to know where on the cluster plug is the tach signal wire.

Yes, it comes from the distributor and is wired directly to your gauge cluster.

I would grab a digital mutimeter and test for open circuit at the blue pin on the gauge cluster connector, then use the other terminal at the distributor.

do you know where the wire runs? does it run through the wiring harness on the drivers side or through the wiring harness to the computer?

It runs directly to your tach through the driver side shock tower harness.
