Default Ls/Vtec Problem Need Help right now

ls/tec with newly rebuild head having problems first there is no compression,
it does have spark, fuel, new head gasket new head studs,
it does have compression when i put oil into one of the cylinders and got 20 psi anyone have any ideas before i pull this bitch any part?

when you say No-compression... did you use a compression tester? if not try that and see what happens, let us know....

that is what we are looking at right now the head just got a full rebuilt at the shop, how do i go about knowing if the valves had been adjusted or how to adjust the valves

thats most likey ur problem.find out what head it is then go to the service manual and read the specs and how to do it.its very simple ive done it plenty of times.let us know how it turns out.

Yes if the valve lash is too tight you will get zero compression. Set the motor to TDC and check cylinder number one. Then rotate the mtor so that the cam gear rotate 90 degrees and check cylinder number 3 then 4, then 2.

Set the clearence to .008 intake and .008 exhasut to start. Then do a compression test and see what you got.

exactly.same thing happen to me when i was doing my motor.after i did the adjustment it started right up.and 6,000 miles later check the valves again after they get seated onto the cyl. head.
