Hub rings needed with tappered lugs?
Hey guys
Well, i just bought some Rota Slipstreams, and ive noticed i get a lil vibration. The tires were mounted and balanced prior to shipping. I spoke to the guy i bought them from and he said that the diamiter of the wheel hub (the little bronze looking thingy behind the center cap) on the rim is different, therefore rings would be needed to insure proper fitment. He explained it in a more technical way, i just cant remember the proper wording. But anyways, ive read that since my rims use tapered lugs, that i dont need rings, since they would be self-centered. Which is true, and what should i do? Thanks.

Even with tapered lugs, your wheels can still be offcentered. I suggest you get the hubcentric rings as well. If the problem still occurs, get the tires rebalanced.
