Default Hub Rings for Rota Slipstreams

I finally got the time to mount my wheels. I realized they dont come with hub rings. Is that going to cause vibration or too much pressure on the lugs? Where can I find a set of hub rings? I went to NTB and they don't sell them. Thanks for your help!

If you go to a place like Discount Tires or something, you should be able to buy them there.

Hubcentric rings take the mounting pressure and centering force off the lugs and center it onto the hub. You're adding extra stress to the lug nuts by not running hub centric rings. It might seem like it fits "perfectly" but it's still not centered around that flange on the hub like OEM wheels are.

But what exactly are they? Is it placed under the lug, like a washer of some kind, or is it placed on the actual wheel hub, as the name suggests? Any website I could buy these from, I tried discount tire, but it doesnt show.

of all the wheels ive had..only the rotas didnt need them...the rota s were made exclusively to fit honda market in asia...in only rare circumstances will anyone need hub rings if the rota s are mount d on honda or acura cars..

When I had my enkeis they were little black plastic rings that filled the space between the hub and the hole in the center of the wheel.

Rotas are not made exclusively for hondas, but they are made to fit civic, integras etc with different hub sizes. If you have a non SI civic, your hubs will be smaller. My wheels wobbled a little bit with my stock civic cx brakes. I called MachIII about hubcentric rings and they told me Rotas are Lug-Centric. I dont belive that for a second. But I couldn't find a tire shop that would take the time to measure my wheels and hub to get me rings, they kept telling me that they dont have them or that I have to call rota for them. Blah!

However, after I upgraded to gsr brakes, my tires stopped wobbling. So maybe the hole on a 4 lug rim is just big enough for an integra so you can do without the rings.

Now that just figures. I just recently bought my subzeros from them and they said all they had were rings for miatas, and didn't know if they'd fit my car. Right now I'm running them on my del Sol VTEC *without* rings, and have had the car up to an indicated 120mph with no apparent problems. When I mounted them, I hand-tightened each nut and turned the wheel through several revolutions while doing it. Once I had them finger-tight, I torqued them to the manual's specs. I'd still feel more comfortable having the rings though.

I just ordered some at http://www.seriousauto.com for $17.16 shipped.

I have some slipstreams on the way, hopefully they have the rings in there, Im too paranoid of messing up my car to run without them now! I also hope having integra suspension parts in the rear will not effect the wheel fitment, which I doubt, but if anyone knows otherwise gimme a heads up.

Every set of wheel I have bought came with the rings except my Rotas. I don't mind spending $18 for the peace of mind.
