Default b20 in eg hatch.

I got an 92-95 eg hatch and i know a dude selling a B20 that needs new vaulvs. I was wondering what heads i could work with. Any sugjestions? And what work would ihave to do to get these heads to work with the block. What problems could I run into?

B16/B18 Vtec head $600-800 (depending on how complete)
GE Vtec conversion kit $200
New head bolts/ Head gasket $150
Some nice cams $400
ECU + tuning $300

Should be pretty straightforward if you are not scared of tools... have a huge breaker bar for the crank bolt. G'luck

if it were me i'd buy a spare LS head and build it

milled .060, some good cams (crower 404's?) and valvetrain, then have it tuned. That would be pretty cool.

If i was going to go to the trouble of building the bottom end I'd boost it.

There is a reason why they are so cheap you know.

The only thing the LS head is good for is ::Triumph the Insult Comic Dog voice:: FOR ME TO POOP ON!

what is so bad about a straight up b20 swap and just save for a built b16 head and internals/buold b20?

nothing. everyone has there own method of doing things. If thats the way you need to do it to save money, then do it that way. Its what is comfortable for you, not everyone else.
