Structural Integrity of Stock 95 Crankshaft/Pistons
Hey everybody,
I have a question about my Engine.
How much am I able to attach to my Vehicle before it puts too much strain on the crankshaft. Im about to add a Cold air, Exhaust, and Possibly Headers, and I wanted to know how much more I can attach safely before having to replace the Pistons, Crankshaft, and related parts with their performance quality counterparts.
Thanks for understanding, and please be positive about this.

You are nowhere near the amount where you need to replace the pistons/crankshaft/rods/etc. Basically right now, with those listed modifications, you are just freeing up the existing power your engine is already making. You are making it flow better.
Unless you are creating lots of EXTRA power by adding nitrous, a turbocharger, supercharger, etc, you won't need to worry about the structural integrity of your internals.

since you have a 95, im guessing its a d16z6 (god forbid its a 1.5L)... your block should handle about 300 horsepower at the crank in the most extreme case.
with the mods you listed, you're probably making somewhere in the neighborhood of 130horsepower at the crank

Right, Im getting about 130 or so to the wheels, and it does seem to just move a lot easier than when I purchased it stock.
On a side note, Its SO wierd driving my car for so long and then going out in an IS 300. I was not expecting that change at all.

only need to upgrade internals if you want to go forced induction, spray or if you want to make more power or compression
